About the author of SASSAGrants

Hello reader, I would like to introduce myself – I am Thabo Maseko, the author for SASSAGrants.co.za

To give you a brief background about me

I am a social assistance researcher, from a rural town in Limpopo, and have first hand experience of social grants. I am from a single parent household, who received a child grant.

I spend a lot of my spare time researching social grants in South Africa, which I share on this website. As a writer, I hope to be able to explain government support programmes in simple, accessible language.

The reason for this website

Often it it very difficult for social grant recipients to find information they need about their grant, and that is why I started writing this website.

My research and writing focuses on breaking down complex government processes into clear step-by-step guides so that people from vulnerable communities can easily access important information about social assistance.

On this website, you will find information about topics such as “SASSA grant applications”, “SRD status checks”, “payment schedules” and “appeals”.

My aim is to regularly review official announcements and updates from SASSA and related government departments to ensure that information is accurate and up to date. I hope to empower South Africans with reliable information about the social support available to them.

Thank you for reading about me. I hope you find this website useful.
