How to change your cellphone number or email address on your R350 SRD grant
Have your contact details (cellphone number or email address) changed since you applied for the SRD R350 grant? If they have, here are the steps on how you can update your contact details for the SASSA Covid-19 SRD grant.
It is important to inform SASSA about your change in contact details as soon as possible, to avoid missing an important correspondence they may send.
Follow these steps to change your contact details of your SRD grant:
1. Visit the update your SASSA SRD grant contact details page
2. Enter your ID number
3. Enter your Application ID (*if you do not know your application ID, read below on how to find it)
4. Click the “Submit” button
5. Enter your email address and new cellphone number
6. Click the “Submit” button
7. Select your reason for changing the cellphone number (was your cellphone stolen/ list, or did you use someone else’s mobile number to apply and now cannot get hold of that person, or is there another reason why you no longer have access to the mobile number you applied with)
8. Enter the OTP you received via SMS
9. Click the “Submit” button
10. Your contact details have now been updated

Retrieving your Application ID for your SRD grant:
* If you have lost your Application ID (which you received when applying), do not worry as it is saved on the SASSA SRD website. Follow these steps to recover your SASSA SRD Application ID
1. Visit the SASSA SRD grant status check page
2. Enter your ID number
3. Enter your cellphone number which you used to apply for the grant
4. Your Application ID will appear in the first line – now keep this number in a safe place
